Singing for the Hospice

The Hospice of St Francis Choir is inviting new members to join their friendly community of singers. Meeting every Wednesday from 5pm-6pm at Wigginton Village Hall, the group offers a welcoming space for anyone who loves to sing, regardless of prior experience.

Originally established fifteen years ago for staff and volunteers, the now 30-strong choir has grown into a vibrant group that performs everywhere from local care homes to St Albans Abbey. Their repertoire is diverse, featuring everything from West End musicals to folk songs and popular classics.

Beyond the proven health and wellbeing benefits of choral singing, the choir remains dedicated to supporting the Hospice. They recently raised over £1,000 for our care with a concert version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat.

Over the years, the choir have raised more than £5,500 for the Hospice.

With a membership fee of just £10 per term, interested singers are encouraged to attend a Wednesday practice or contact kdavies60@yahoo.co.uk for further details.
