Friends of St Francis
The kindness and generosity of our amazing Friends of St Francis give the Hospice the confidence to plan ahead and help ensure we are here for you and your family in the future.
Join a special community of people who support the Hospice with a regular donation
Since 1979 the Hospice of St Francis has been caring for local people when they need it most.
Care that brings comfort.
Care that brings dignity.
Care that brings peace.
All offered completely free of charge - thanks to the kindness and generosity of our supporters.
Every day, patients and their families rely on our specialist Inpatient care, our Care at Home service, our wellbeing support, and our bereavement care. But these services come at a cost.
With less than 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we must raise over £6 million every year to continue being there for the people who need us. But to do so, we need the help of our supporters more than ever.
That’s why we’re inviting you to become a Friend of St Francis.
By joining a special community of regular donors, you'll provide us with something truly vital:
-
A steady, reliable source of income.
-
A foundation we can plan from.
-
A gift that helps us be there earlier, easing pain and worry sooner.
Who can be a Friend?
-
Becoming a Friend means pledging a minimum of £10 a month or £120 a year.
-
You can give monthly, quarterly, or annually - perhaps on a date that holds special meaning for you.
Whatever you choose, please know that it means the world to us.
By being a Friend you will:
-
Join a compassionate community of people who care deeply about the future of our Hospice services.
-
Receive updates on the difference you’re making.
-
Be invited to special Friends events, with the opportunity to speak with like-minded supporters and senior personnel from the Hospice
And you’ll know - with complete certainty - that your kindness is improving the lives of patients and families right here in our local area.
Our Friends give us the confidence to plan for tomorrow. They help ensure that our care - care that’s filled with compassion, dignity, and respect - continues today, and for generations to come.
"The moment when I wanted to make a regular donation, stems from after visiting a friend who was a patient in the Hospice. I was so impressed with their level of care and concern, not only for her but for me, that I felt that this is a place worth supporting and so I decided that a regular donation was the best way to do that"
