Meet our manager, Marie.

If you’ve ever stepped into our Kings Langley shop, you’ve probably already felt the warmth, energy and care that manager Marie has brought to the place these last two years.

After spells in retail and admin work, Marie took time out to raise her family. Initially, returning to employment in various school roles, she later joined our charity shops – first in Amersham and then stepping into her current role as manager in Kings Langley.

Describing the shop as her “baby”, Marie leads a fantastic team of around 25 volunteers, supported by two deputy managers, all of whom help keep the shop running smoothly. She’s dedicated to maintaining a boutique-style space – beautifully presented, colour coordinated and welcoming – something customers continuously praise. Marie says, “We get so many compliments as they love the feel of the shop which is what we’re striving for.” But what truly makes the Kings Langley shop special is the sense of community. Regulars visit from near and far because they love the atmosphere created there.

With her partner already signed up, Marie is helping champion the upcoming ‘One Jump Beyond’ skydive organised by local fundraiser, Bob Best, to raise vital funds for the Hospice. Next time you’re in Kings Langley, pop in and say hello – you’ll quickly see why the shop is so loved.
