New in 2026...

The support of our community has been integral to sustaining us through 2025. We can’t thank you enough.

From our Bed Appeal, to visiting one of our amazing shops, making a regular donation, taking on a fundraising challenge, donating to our Big Give – and everything in between – your support is helping us to protect care on our Inpatient Unit, sustain our Community Team, and ensure our Wellbeing and Family Support services can be there for people.

We carefully monitor and review our referrals, our care, and patient and family feedback. This means we have a really strong understanding of the demand for our care, and how many hospice beds we need to have available.

In 2024/25, we cared for and supported 2,466 people.

On our Inpatient Unit we expect 6 beds will be in use all of the time, and we can flex up to 8 beds if needed. This is because more people prefer to have their complex care from the Hospice in their own home.

The success of our Community Team and Rapid Personalised Care Service (RPCS) means there is a real choice about where complex palliative care and end of life care can happen - at home, in the Hospice or with a combination of both kinds of care.

As demand for our care continues to rise, and the costs of delivering that care increase, it means we are able to look at creating new sustainable ways to fund and keep Hospice care free in the future.

From January, we will have four rooms at the Hospice which can be booked for a short break - called Respite for Good.

This is a paid-for personal care service available to people who rely on family for help with everyday tasks and need a break away from home. Respite for Good is one of our new paid-for social and personal care services run through our trading company. The profits will help fund free Hospice Care.

Look out for information about our home care service Care for Good launching in February. This a personal care service at home for people who need help with every day tasks. The profits from this service will also enable us to continue to meet the growing need for Hospice care.

If you, or people you know, might be interested in these services you'll be able to find out more on our website in the new year.
