Kulan - Yoga Festival

We are incredibly grateful to corporate partner Kulan and his team at Bay Yoga Studio for their wonderful support of the Hospice through the second Yoga Festival in Berkhamsted.

Held at Kitchener’s Field, the two-day festival brought people together to celebrate movement, mindfulness and wellbeing. From yoga and Pilates to sound baths, meditation and a wide range of complementary therapies, the event showcased the power of connection, breathing and holistic support.

For Kulan, yoga has truly been life changing. He first started practising at 16 after being introduced to breathing techniques and movement to help with his asthma. “I became hooked on the power of breathing and yoga,” he said. The asthma cleared, and his sleep patterns and energy levels all improved dramatically. After 25 years of self-practice, he completed teacher training during COVID. He took over Bay Yoga three years ago and spoke movingly about why our care matters so much, “The Hospice has always been special to us and we want to give more as we grow bigger.”

With the huge success of this year’s festival, Kulan is “determined to draw on this inspiration and learning gained to be even more ambitious and, in turn, better support the Hospice.” Once again, thank you to Kulan and his team for their dedication and compassionate support.
