Who should attend:
Everyone and anyone (whether staff member, volunteer, friend or colleague) who can join us in person and wishes to learn about funerals.
Course Aims:
To help people think ahead about what might be important to consider when planning a funeral.
Objectives:
- To state the role of a funeral director
- To identify how they can care for a deceased person
- To explore what is and what is not possible at a funeral
- To explore resources available
- To explore options re religious and secular funerals
This workshop is part of a dying matters series exploring different aspects of care towards the end of life.

The Hospice of St Francis
Manisha completed her Level 4 Certificate in Teaching and Education in 2021 and currently practises as a Lecturer Practitioner at The Hospice of St Francis and within Universities.
Manisha is passionate about providing holistic, patient-centred care with a special interest in long term conditions and Pulmonary Fibrosis. She is equally committed to education and professional development, sharing her clinical expertise to support and inspire multidisciplinary teams, students, and colleagues working within palliative and end-of-life care.
