Community Collectors play an important role in supporting the Hospice’s fundraising efforts. By collecting and replacing donation tubs in local businesses, you will help ensure that the generous donations from our community can continue to support the vital care provided by the Hospice. 

Key Tasks:

• Collect full donation tubs from local shops, pubs and other community venues as requested by the Fundraising Team. 
• Replace full tubs with empty ones during each visit. 
• Return collected tubs to the Hospice so that donations can be processed and counted. 
• Act as a friendly and positive representative of the Hospice when visiting local businesses. 
• Optional: Identify potential new locations in the local area where collection tubs could be placed and share these opportunities with the Community Fundraising Team. 

Skills and experience:

• Access to a car and a valid driving licence. 
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
• Friendly, approachable and reliable, as you will be representing the Hospice in the community. 
• Able to carry and transport full collecting tubs safely. 
• Willingness to follow the Hospice’s cash-handling and lone working procedures. 
• Good knowledge of local area: where current collection tubs are placed and able to suggest potential locations to place new tubs
