Are you passionate about retail, sustainability, and supporting your local community? We're looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Deputy Manager to help drive the success of our busy charity shop in Bovingdon.

Working alongside the Shop Manager, you'll play a key role in maximising sales, supporting volunteers, delivering exceptional customer service, and creating an engaging shopping experience that helps raise vital funds for the Hospice. 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of a thriving charity shop
  • Driving sales and Gift Aid income to achieve targets
  • Leading and supporting a team of dedicated volunteers
  • Maintaining attractive merchandising and stock presentation
  • Helping organise promotions, events, and local community engagement
  • Supporting recruitment, induction, and training of volunteers
  • Acting as a passionate ambassador for the Hospice and its values
  • Ensuring excellent customer service and donor care at all times 

About You

You'll be a proactive and organised retail professional who enjoys working with people and making a difference.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Previous charity retail experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational and operational skills
  • Confidence working with figures, reports, and IT systems
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical capability to undertake regular lifting and stock handling
  • A full driving licence and access to transport
