Lisa has been volunteering at the Abbots Langley Hospice shop for 8 years. She says, “I found the shop such a lovely community place. The staff are so kind and welcoming with everyone in there, whether they’re shopping or not.”

Lisa also buys her Hospice lottery tickets at our shop and recently received a call from the Hospice Lottery Partnership to tell her she’d won £10,000 in the rollover. But Lisa couldn’t believe the news.

“I kept asking ‘You mean ten pounds, right?’” Lisa says. “Once it hit, I was blown away. We were both laughing.”

Lisa’s son is getting married next year so she’ll spend some of her winnings on that. “It will be nice to also treat myself a little bit,” she added.  

We can’t think of a more deserving winner! Thanks to Lisa for all she does for the Hospice and her community.
