Events for August 2026

Every Saturday - Storytime 10.30 am. A different reader every week selects from our picture books. 

Sunday 9th August. 11am - 2pm.
A musical memoir by Richard Niles.

Author Richard Niles will be signing his book, Hits and Happiness, at Chapter Two. A memoir of all the famous musicians he has interviewed over the years. 
This is a free event.

Friday 14th August ,5 - 7 pm, Chapter Two Lates
An evening of after-hours bookshop browsing. 
Visit Chapter Two after closing time and enjoy a relaxed evening surrounded by books. Grab a cocktail from The Vault or a craft beer from Trekkers before you arrive, then explore the shop, take part in book-themed activities, discover new reads, and meet fellow book lovers. 
A bookshop experience that's a little different. Tickets are £5 (plus admin fee) but this is to be redeemed as a £5 book voucher at the start of the event.

Events take place at Chapter Two and are FREE unless otherwise stated.
Donations welcome with all profits going to the Hospice of St Francis.
