Become an Impact Partner
Philanthropy
What is an Impact Partner?
The Hospice of St Francis is incredibly grateful for any donation that can support our services. With less than 20% of funding coming from the NHS, ALL donations are fundamental.
However, we define any gift of £5,000 or more as philanthropic support, which opens the opportunity to be involved with the Hospice as an Impact Partner.
What are the Benefits?
For us, becoming an Impact Partner isn’t just about giving a one-off donation — it’s about joining our mission as a partner.
We welcome the chance to meet you, understand your reason for supporting the Hospice and champion your involvement.
We encourage our Impact Partner to visit the Hospice, meet the nurses, volunteers and SLT. We want to involve you in vision-setting and celebrate your role in helping to drive change.
For many, the reward in supporting us is about the impact your donation can have, the legacy that comes with joining values and aspirations.
How will your large gift support the Hospice?
A large gift can be transformational because it can fund entire projects, sustain programs, or unlock new opportunities for the Hospice.
Fund Capital Projects
Improvements to our hospice buildings
Support Ongoing Care
Demand for our care continues to increase
Develop New Services
Fund advancements in our care
Help Fund Staff Costs
Nursing and Clinical Teams
Whilst of course your monetary gift will impact the future for the Hospice, your network of friends, colleagues or other connections can also support our fundraising. Your connections could extend the number of prospects and growth for the Hospice.
As an Impact Partner, we want you to feel:
- Involved in our future
- Have recognition for your support
- Have exclusive access to special events and impact reports
- Have direct contact with members of SLT and Trustees
- Create relationships with other Philanthropists and Impact Partners in our network who share your passion for the Hospice.
If you’d like to speak to us about a ‘Gift in Kind’ donation, please email Kathryn

The Seeds of Hope sculpture, which is located at the entrance of the Hospice grounds was donated by one of our Impact Partners to allow all those visiting a calming and thoughtful welcome.
