Together, let's help people and their families, in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, to live their precious lives well through improving symptoms, achieving personal goals and helping them to feel safe.
We hold major events throughout the year, many of which are expensive to put on but with your help in reducing our costs, more money can go to those in our care.
Our events see a large number of participants attending:
Working with the Hospice in a long-term strategic relationship will help your company engage more effectively with customers and staff, increase awareness within the local community and make an impact on your sales.
We are delighted to launch the ‘Every Home is Precious’ partnership with Aitchisons combining our work in caring and supporting people and their families living with a life-limiting illness with an established residential agency which has always played an active part in their local community and who will make a donation for new sole agency instructions.
Aitchisons has been a strong supporter of the charity for several years and has now committed to helping it to increase awareness of its work and to generate much needed funds for running the Hospice.
Come and work in our grounds, our shops, or on specific projects around the building and enjoy doing something different for a day, encouraging team building and rapport.
Run for us, get on your bike, enter a team in a Hospice Golf day or take on one of our other challenges - each year we have a number of places in events such as the London Marathon, RideLondon plus lots more.
Or challenge yourself and take part in one of our larger events. Whether you are entering a company team or taking part individually, we have a fantastic schedule of events throughout the year, including the Mud Pack Challenge and our Super Hero-themed - KAPOW!
You can help by donating equipment, food, services or expertise or even allowing us access to a venue free of charge.
We are always looking for items that we may be able to use as tombola, raffle or auction prizes for fundraising events held throughout the year.
Donations of goods or equipment - A company can get tax relief if they donate items that they would normally sell. If you give items to the Hospice, they are not counted as a sale, so your company can get tax relief on the cost of the article.
Volunteering - If employees are volunteering during work time, the company can claim tax relief for the employment costs incurred (employee’s salary). The company needs to treat the costs as a business expense when calculating chargeable profits for Corporation Tax purposes.
Our friends at Vanarama and Motorama understand that helping the community is just as important as offering great lease deals on personal and commercial vehicles – that’s why they commit a lot of time and money to several charities across the country including The Hospice of St Francis.
Whether you’re looking for your next dream car, or a commercial vehicle for your business, not only will you be getting yourself a great deal, you’ll be helping us to help people live their precious lives well.

All your employees’ donations are sent directly to a Payroll Giving Agency (PGA) who will handle the transfer of funds directly to the Hospice.
This makes it easy for your staff to support us in the most highly tax efficient manner.
It is the only way of giving to charity that allows full tax relief on donations, and there are virtually no set-up costs.
