The Mud Pack Challenge is back in the stunning grounds of Ashridge House, surrounded by National Trust woodland!
You can choose to tackle the 7km or 14km route...and with every muddy obstacle you overcome you will be supporting the Hospice to continue providing essential support to those with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones.

Report for duty!
Why not enlist your family and friends to join you and really make the mud matter! Push your boundaries, do something incredible... and don’t forget, mud washes off but memories last a life time!
Each trooper has a mission to raise a minimum sponsorship of £50 to help fund our Hospice care.
Minimum age for registration is 15 years. All 15-17 year olds must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Each participant must sign up individually (unless signing up an under 18) as you need to complete the waiver form. You can enter a team name to be identified as a group

We've detailed below the most important information that you need to know ahead of your Mud Pack Challenge this Sunday - please read everything carefully.
Please arrive 20 minutes before your wave time to ensure you have enough time to get ready before being called to the start line for a warm up.
If you are supervising an under 18 don't forget to drop off your signed disclaimer and collect your pack, which includes your Mud Pack t-shirt and your participant number, from the Query Desk - you will not be able to cross the start line without these.
Please note you are already fully registered you DO NOT need to register with us on the day.
MUD PACK VENUE:
- Please note that the event venue is Ashridge House, NOT the Monument! Use this postcode for Sat Navs: HP4 1NS
- Spectators are welcome to cheer you on outside the front of Ashridge House, in the event village. The back of the house is not open to the public to spectate.
TRANSPORT:
- If you have paid for Premium Parking you will be parking in Lime Walk. Please have your permit visible for our Car Parking Marshals when you arrive and they will point you in the right direction.
- If you have chosen our drop off and pick up option please ask your lift to follow directions to the drop off area when you arrive at Ashridge House. This will be busy so allow plenty of time.
- Please allow additional time to park and walk to the Event Village.
UNDER 18's:
- If you are supervising a participant who is under 18 years of age, please remember you and them need to sign the disclaimer form. On arrival please make your way to The Hospice of St Francis Query Desk in the event village. They will issue you your race pack (containing your t-shirt and participant number) and a disclaimer form if you haven't got yours.
Minimum Sponsorship: £50 per Mud Packer.
Simply ask 10 friends to sponsor you £5 each & you've reached your minimum goal!
WHAT YOU NEED
- An old pair of trainers.
- Your orange Mud Pack T-shirt, and some sports clothes that you don’t mind getting muddy.
- There will be a t-shirt swap available (at the query desk that can be found in the The Hospice of St Francis Event Village) should you wish to change your t-shirt size. This will be on a first come, first served basis.
- Your must wear your participant number. If you forget this on the day, please go to the query desk to be reallocated a number as you cannot run without one.
FACILITIES
- There is a bag drop available, which can cater for small (less than A4) bags/key drop only. There will be a £2.00 charge for this service, payable by card.
- Please attach the luggage label on your running number to the bag which will correspond to your running number on the day.
- Portable Toilets are available in the Event Village but no showers; we advise you to bring dry clothes to travel home in.
- Please do not bring any valuables with you. The Hospice of St Francis cannot take responsibility for loss or damage to your possessions, especially mobile phones. You will be getting wet!
- Hot food and drinks will be available to purchase in the Mud Pack Village.
- There will be a water station on the course as well as water at the end. Please plan accordingly.
WAVES
- Please arrive 20 minutes before your start time.
- Your warm up will take place at the start line.
- You cannot change to the 14km route if you have not already signed up.
- Friends and family can sign up on the day (on the day registration increases to £45). Bookings close this Friday at 12pm.
- If you are supervising a participant who is under 18 years old, please do NOT head straight to start line as you will not be able to cross the start line without your t-shirt and runner number. Please visit the The Hospice of St Francis Query Desk first.
