Meet our manager, Claire

I have been working for the hospice for six years now.  Firstly as a deputy manager and then, a year later, as shop manager. I had a wonderful mentor in Marilyn an ex manager who was winding down to retirement.

I have so many memories from working in the shop.  One of my favourites is revealing the Christmas window each year, in anticipation of our festive selling period. Last year we were lucky enough that a local influencer made a reel showcasing our sparkly window to Christmassy music, which was stunning!  Such a lovely welcome surprise.

I am crazy about jewellery so my favourite item has to be this lovely vintage necklace which didn’t hang about and sold in our cabinet recently.  I love sorting through the jewellery donations picking out the silver to highlight in the shop and sending gold pieces to our online shop.
