The Hospice is delighted to once again host the NHS Beds and Herts Breast Screening Mobile.
The Breast Screening Van has returned to the Hospice’s car park and will be here until April 2026.
The service will be sending appointment letters and inviting eligible local women aged 50-70 for their routine breast screening appointment. They’ll invite women from Gossoons End, Rothschild House and Manor Street Surgeries over the next few months.
Mammographer Lynne (pictured) said, "Already we've had a great uptake, including women coming for their first invitation. Local women are very good at attending their breast screenings. Being based here in Berkhamsted makes it very convenient for everyone." Women aged over 71 from a local GP practice may invite themselves by ringing the service direct on 01582 497599 or by e-mailing bscreen@ldh.nhs.uk to arrange an appointment.
