An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Therapist(s) to join our multi-disciplinary team at The Hospice of St Francis, Berkhamsted to contribute to our rehabilitation and wellbeing services for patients, carers and family members. This post is a permanent contract. Some weekend working may be required.
The successful candidate will be part of the Rehabilitation and Wellbeing Team at The Hospice of St Francis and will also be required to work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and other care providers. Clinically you will be responsible for the assessment, clinical reasoning and treatment of a mixed caseload of patients, including neurology, respiratory, cardiac and cancer diagnoses, within the Inpatient Unit, The Spring Centre, our Health and Wellbeing Centre and within the community. The successful candidate will provide a high quality service to those diagnosed with a potentially life limiting illness and therefore previous experience of working with these patient groups is essential.
Candidates should be passionate about promoting a palliative rehabilitation model which develops/supports self-management to optimise quality of life and function after diagnosis of a potentially life limiting illness. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an understanding of palliative care, have good communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.

You should be a qualified Occupational Therapist and have current registration with HCPC. Please note the successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced level DBS check.
