An organised and proactive Facilities Assistant is required to provide general maintenance to the Hospice building (including shops), plant, equipment and external areas, ensuring the security of the building and safety of patients, staff and visitors at all times. Facilities department provides a 24/7 service to the Hospice and the department hours are spread over 7 days with some regular hours at weekends, as well as covering the holidays of the Facilities Manager. Hours will be on rota as agreed with the Facilities Manager.
To be successful in this role, you should have good communication and problem-solving skills, be IT competent and possess the ability to deal sensitively and diplomatically with a wide range of people.
