Prayer Vigil

Four 'Prayer Hubs' in the local area

Wednesday 6th June

Various times (please see below)

Have you ever wondered how The Hospice of St Francis started?

On the 6th June 1979 a silent prayer vigil was held at St Peter’s Church in Berkhamsted. People from many walks of life came and shared their time in prayer. This was the catalyst that led to the founding of our Hospice.

Ahead of our 40th Anniversary next year, (when we will be holding prayer vigils in 40 locations), we are holding a vigil at four different ‘Prayer Hubs’ in the surrounding area on Wednesday June 6th, 2018. Please come along for a few minutes if you can!

  • 1pm - 3pm: The Lady Chapel, St Albans Cathedral
  • 6pm - 8pm: St Peter's Church, Berkhamsted
  • 6pm - 8pm: St Francis of Assisi, Hemel Hempstead
  • 6pm - 8pm: St John's Church, Markyate

We look forward to seeing you there!
