Huge thanks to West Watford Golfing Society and current and former captains Paul Glover and Neil Woodard, who came in a few weeks ago with a cheque for nearly £2,500 from the Society's annual Charity Day.
They’ve been supporting us for 10 years and have raised over £20,000 in that time as thanks for the care that we gave Lyn, the wife of former club Captain, Neil Woodard.
Explained Neil: “The Golf Society has felt for some time that The Hospice of St Francis is a thoroughly worthy cause for a donation from our annual charity fund. We first came into contact with the Hospice in 2008 when one of our colleagues was being treated by the visiting nurses and my wife Lyn was an inpatient.
"After the incredible support Lyn and the whole family received in equal part from the Hospice, I really wanted to give something back and I’m very grateful to the Society for backing me."
We couldn't do what we do without the support of clubs, organisations and groups in our community and we are hugely grateful to you all.
