NCS (National Citizen Service) is a government run scheme that offers 3 - 4 week courses encouraging young people to get involved with their local communities. This involves one week at a Kings Wood Centre learning the vital skills needed to work as a team.
The second week consists of learning skills regarding the organisation and planning of our fundraising activities. The third week is for putting our plans into action and raising money for our chosen charity.
We all decided to support The Hospice of St Francis because some team members had had personal connections. This prompted us to choose to support this incredible and wonderful charity!
We raised around £700 pounds by selling cakes, washing cars and bag packing at the Southdown Co-Operative who were very supportive. We also set up a Just Giving page where the donations went straight to the Hospice!

Finally, on our last day of fundraising, we decided to visit the Hospice. Words cannot describe how beautiful it is there, everyone offers smiles which gives such a wonderful vibe!
We are all proud that we chose to support you!
Love The NCS team :)
