St Clement Danes School take on Charity Week

St Clement Danes School's annual Charities Week was launched on Friday 16th December with an “Elf Auction” and "Kidnap a Teacher". Events carried on throughout the following week which included a hotly contested staff vs students dodgeball match and ended with the last day of term, being a non-uniform day, raising £1 per student.

Charities week is organised and led by their fantastic team of Charities Prefects, ably assisted by an army of Sixth Formers. Throughout the four days of fundraising, they worked tirelessly, selling sweets, drinks, uniform infringement passes and bleacher tickets to the Sixth Form Revue, an eagerly anticipated production that was put on for the final day. Students supported their endeavours by bringing their pocket money (and, no doubt, generous donations from parents) to school so they could join in the fun.

The Sixth Form Student Charities Committee raised a whopping £11,480 which was split across 5 chosen charities, one of which was The Hospice of St Francis.
