The Dacorum based ‘Social Friends Group’ raised just over £1,000 for the Hospice of St Francis at their Charity Dinner Dance on Friday 10th July at the beautiful Pendley Manor in Tring.
Chairman Sheila McEntee said “The evening was filled with lots of fun and games with MC/DJ Phil from Mayhem Productions providing the entertainment. Our members enjoyed a superb three course meal before tripping the light fantastic to some superb music from Phil whilst raising much needed funds for the Hospice. We couldn’t have wished for a better evening and were amazed at the amount we managed to raise. It has given a real boost to our club and we hope to do something similar again in the future”.
Hospice Ambassador Jack Scutton attended Social Friends club night on 5th August in Kings Langley to collect the cheque. He thanked the group for their generosity and told them a little about the Hospice’s work, as well as about the funds needed to maintain the support given to patients.
