A HUGE thank you to the wonderful Markyate PlantSale for raising nearly £12,000 for the Hospice at this year’s event!
Here is organiser Ian Bradley handing over the many cheques that contributed to the grand total to our Health Care Assistant, Kate.
Held in a delightful, private family garden in the middle of the village of Markyate, you could not wish for a better venue in which to select your summer bedding plants.
This family-friendly, horticultural-heaven is a must in your summer calendar.
Amongst the myriad of flowers and shrubs, there were delicious home baked cakes, rolls and refreshments, all accompanied by live music. There was fun for the children too and a host of great raffle prizes. Big crowds and amazing offering made it a lovely day and there were only a couple of showers!
