GIVE TO THE HOSPICE OF ST FRANCIS TO CELEBRATE YOUR WEDDING
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
Thank you for thinking of including us in your big day!
The donations you receive from your guests help our patients who are managing, or recovering from, serious illness. We help them to live well by improving symptoms, working with them to achieve personal goals – anything from getting back to work, enjoying family time to walking the dogs again – and helping you feel safe. We not only support patients, but also their families and friends.
Fantastic Fundraiser Story
In August 2016 Jim and Louise Imrie got married at the picturesque Spit Bank Fort in the Solent.
Louise's Father, Michael, received care from the Hospice's Community Nurse Specialist Team over two years before he passed away. The newlyweds asked for donations in lieu of weddings gifts, and raised a total of £1,400 for The Hospice of St Francis.
Louise said "Val, Dad's Community Nurse Specialist, was paramount to making his last months bearable and he looked forward to their chats. Val was also a magnificent support to my mother in this hard time and she became like a close friend and confidant to them both"
"We decided to support the Hospice by asking for donations instead of wedding gifts as it is a second marriage for both of us and we don't want for anything. After consideration we felt that asking for donations for the Hospice would be more beneficial and that is would include the memory of Dad in our celebrations"
