Friends of Phil take on Movember

We are friends of Philip Latham who was a remarkable young man and one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. He was a doting loving father to two beautiful girls; a devoted loving husband to Karen, a son to Jill and brother to Daryl.

Phil was also like a brother to us and we miss him dearly. Some of us grew up with him from primary school and others through football and now, each year, we have a night out in his honour.

Phil and I played in the same team in junior and senior football - I always have fond memories of Phil playing football.

It was the way Phil saw life. He was fully committed and passionate and always gave 150%. I was honoured to have him as one of my best friends.

Phil, like most of us, would have been 40 this year and so we decided it was our turn to do something in his name to raise money for a very worthy cause.

We decided to do Movember so from the 1st - 30th November we grew our moustaches to raise money.

Our Team goal was £1,000 but we managed to smash this. On our last count while writing this we were at an amazing £1,565 which will help support The Hospice of St Francis.

I would take this opportunity in thanking all those that have donated and to the St Francis Fund Raising Team with the help you have given.
