Charlie Parker's Cake Sale

My name is Charlie Parker and I am 13 years old. My Gran has cancer and she gets a lot of help from The Hospice.

I go to a youth club at the Baptist Church and on the 20th December I decided to hold a cake sale outside the baptist church in Kings Langley.

The event took place after the morning service. Unfortunatly the weather turned on us and it snowed hard but it went ahead anyway. We raised £249.41 for The Hospice, which none of us had expected.

My sister and her friend made 50 cup cakes, my friend Izzy, my Gran, my Mum, my Auntie and some other people from the church made cakes too.

The whole idea came into my head , I wanted to help the people who had helped my gran and just say a big thank you really!

Once I had found out how helpful and kind they had been to my gran I wanted to help them, so again I want to thank The Hospice for all of the hard work they have done to help everyone who visits there.

We hoped we would raise a lot of money to go towards helping The Hospice and we hopefully did. Thank you to everyone who made the cakes and supported us.
