On Wednesday 13th February, Berkhamsted Campaign for Real Music presented Mike McGoldrick, John McCusker and John Doyle to a sell-out crowd at The Vyne Theatre in Berkhamsted. Playing a set including vigorous jigs and reels on fiddles, pipes and whistles, accompanied on guitar, bouzouki, cittern, guitar and harmonium, they created an incredible atmosphere for an enthusiastic audience. Interspersed with melodious songs, some of which included audience participation, it was a superbly balanced set.
BCFRM supported the Hospice over the first four concerts with a bucket collection. However, with the generous support of BP Sanders, the bucket has been superseded by a much more substantial donation and the group have now been able to provide a total of over £1000.
