In July 2016 73-year-old Patrick McInerney walked 30km a day for the International Four Days Marches in the Netherlands, raising £850 for the Hospice in memory of his cousin Jack.
Patrick, who took part in the annual event for the fifth time, walked through 34 degree heat and even a three hour thunderstorm on the last day, before making it to the finish line to be greeted by his proud family.
The event, also known as Walk the World, celebrated it's 100th anniversary this year so the 42,000+ marchers were awarded their medals from the King of the Netherlands!
This year Patrick walked for the fifth time since 2011, and so far has raised nearly £3,000 to support our Hospice care!
