The Hospice of St Francis’ gift and home interiors shop number twenty on Lower Kings Road, Berkhamsted, has added another accolade to its name by scooping the Best Gift Shop in this year’s Muddy Stilettos Awards for Hertfordshire.

The design-led shop, which sells inspirational cards, gifts and homewares, was announced the winner after seeing off competition from four other finalists with its winning combination of fantastic high quality products and great customer service.

Sarah Coles, Head of Trading at the Hospice, said: “We are thrilled that our fabulous Berkhamsted gift shop number twenty has scooped the coveted Muddy Stilettos Award 2018 for the Best Gift shop in Hertfordshire!

“Muddy Stilettos’ ethos is all about celebrating and supporting the most unique, interesting and brilliant local businesses, and this award will give the shop and the Hospice a real boost. Certainly the public response this year has been incredible, with tens of thousands of people voting across the Muddy Stilettos sites.

“It’s a fabulous accolade for the shop team and volunteers, all of whom have made a huge contribution over the 12 years number twenty has been in business. Congratulations to all and thank you to everyone who voted to help secure victory!”

Carol Higgs, shop manager at number twenty, added: “This award is testament to the hard work of our staff and volunteers who really try to make sure there is always something new on offer to entice and interest our customers.

“We also make sure that all our customers, whether they are day visitors who have never been to Berkhamsted before, or regular shoppers who visit us every week, receive a warm welcome and great customer service.”
