We were delighted to welcome Sky News to the Hospice in March to film and speak to members of our Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) Support Group as part of a feature on a British Lung Foundation report, urging the Government and NHS to do more to tackle lung disease, which is costing the UK £11bn every year.
Group member, Peter Bryce, was full of praise for the fortnightly group, which is one of many that meets in our Spring Centre. He told reporter Dan Whitehead, “Coming here is like joining a family. The people understand the nature of this illness and it’s easy to relate to them, share experiences and support each other. It’s brilliant.”
