Join Team Total Care

18 August 2016

The Hospice of St Francis has launched a fresh, new recruitment drive to encourage nurses, clinicians and non-clinicians to consider developing their career with the charity.

Local people are invited to find out more about joining #teamtotalcare by visiting the Hospice at one of a series of recruitment open days during September. The open days are designed to be completely informal, with no obligations attached, and are for anyone who would like to find out more about the Hospice, its environment, culture and benefits alongside current job vacancies. No booking is necessary and those who are interested can just turn up on one of the following days:

  • Saturday 10 September 10-12pm
  • Monday 12 September 10 – 12pm
  • Tuesday 27 September 1:30 – 3:30 and 7:30 – 9:30pm

Further details, alongside current nursing and ‘coming soon’ job opportunities in fundraising, communications and administration, can be found at www.stfrancis.org.uk/workwithus

The Hospice has a particular requirement for new nursing team members and welcomes visits from those interested in discovering more about the palliative care profession.

Georgia Berry, a registered nurse, “I enjoy my work at the Hospice tremendously and even though the nature of our work can be very sad, there are also moments of joy and we get to be able to spend real quality time with our patients which is my favourite aspect of the role.”

Karen Martin, Sister, adds, “I feel extremely proud to work at the Hospice. It’s a privilege to come to work every day as not only do we work in such a beautiful setting, we’re fortunate to be such a close knit team who give their absolute maximum to patient care.”
