Heart Breakfast’s Daniel Fox will be swapping the dawn chorus to burn the midnight oil when he steps out with his team of Foxy Ladies at The Hospice of St Francis Midnight Walk on Saturday 25th June.
Already wearing his Midnight Walk t-shirt with pride and searching for his neon legwarmers, Daniel is inviting any Foxy Ladies (and guys) who are up for a right hoot, to join him as he takes to the streets of Hemel to support a local Hospice who cares for his dear friend, Emma Young.
Emma, a single mother of three from Hemel, is living with terminal cancer and currently receives care and support for herself and children at the Hospice’s outpatient Spring Centre. Daniel has been inspired by Emma to do all he can for the Hospice and has already lost pounds in its Biggest Loser weight loss fundraiser in conjunction with Sportspace earlier this year.
The local radio DJ Daniel said, “Emma’s a great lady and we’ve built up such a close rapport. I want to do all I can to help her and the Hospice who’ve given her so much. I’ve supported the Midnight Walk before but never made it round the course; with Emma at my side I’m determined to make it to the finish line! It’s going to be a blast dressing up in neon, getting splattered by florescent bubbles and glowing in neon pods, so come and join me for a right neon knees-up with the Foxy Ladies team – everyone is welcome!”
Sponsorship raised from the Midnight Walk, which starts at 9pm at Hemel Hempstead school, will enable the Hospice help more people like Emma facing life-limiting illness.
