Childrens Wish List

Our Children's Wish List

Thank You to everyone who supported our campaign.

With your generous donations we were able to put on a Children's Christmas Party and a special outing for teenagers. Additional money will go towards new equipment for our Children's 'Sunshine Room'.

Including offline donations of £850, we were able to raise a grand total of £2,050.

Christmas is a time for families, fun and laughter. But, for some children, who’ve lost a funny grandpa, cuddly nan or their brilliant and irreplaceable mum to serious illness, it can be a time of sadness – especially when there is an empty seat at the Christmas dinner table.

Bereavement can take a huge toll on a child – they can feel  sad, anxious, angry and lonely. Dealing with grief and coping with growing up can seriously affect a children’s relationships at home and at school.

That’s why our specialist children’s team is here throughout the year providing much-needed support for all children who need us during a serious illness, or following the death, of someone they really love. We tailor our activities to every child but have a whole array of support on offer from 1:1 sessions plus group sessions such as teen drop ins, arts & craft, family film mornings, holiday-time activities and stories at our Storyteller Chair. Our goal is to help children through their grief and be here to talk with them, whenever they need us.

Miss you dad
