Maureen qualified as an accountant 18 years ago and has since worked in a number of senior managerial roles in different organisations within the NHS, education and not-for-profit sectors in a paid as well as voluntary capacity. For the last 7 years Maureen worked for the Methodist Council as Director of Financial Operations. She is a lifelong learner and has completed two postgraduate qualifications since completing her accountancy studies, most recently an MBA with the Open University.
Maureen joined the Hospice in November 2017 as Director of Finance and IT and is accountable for the Hospice’s Finance and IT systems as well as being the Senior Information Risk Officer. Maureen is passionate about the not-for-profit sector and believes very strongly that financial information should be easily accessible and communicated in an engaging and practical way to key stakeholders.
Maureen is married with two grown up sons and a young daughter. Her hobbies include reading, music and baking.
