An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced physiotherapist to join our multi-disciplinary team at The Hospice of St Francis, Berkhamsted to contribute to our rehabilitation and wellbeing services for both patients and carers in the West Herts area. This post is a permanent position and some weekend working may be required.

The successful candidate will be part of the multi-disciplinary team at The Hospice of St Francis and will also be required to work closely with other care providers. Clinically you will be responsible for the assessment, clinical reasoning and treatment of a mixed caseload of patients, including neurology, respiratory, cardiac and cancer diagnoses, primarily within the Inpatient Unit but you may also be required to support the rehabilitation service within The Spring Centre, our Health and Wellbeing Centre and support our patients within the community. We are currently expanding our service to work collaboratively with local neurological services to provide a high quality service to those diagnosed with a life limiting neurological condition and therefore previous experience of working with these patient groups is essential along with some palliative care experience. Some assessment off site may be required.

With flexibility to work across the week on an ad hoc basis [some weekend work possible]

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated bank Physiotherapists, to join our Therapy Team. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an understanding of palliative care, have good communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Candidates should be passionate about promoting a rehabilitation model which develops/supports self-management to optimise quality of life and function after diagnosis of a potentially life limiting illness.

For the above positions you should be a qualified Chartered Physiotherapist and have current registration with HCPC.
