We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Communications Officer to work in our busy Communications team delivering our communications strategy.
An integral part of the team, the Communications Officer will be responsible for building relationships and liaising appropriately with stakeholders to widen awareness of the work of the Hospice across its catchment area.
The successful candidate will look after the day-to-day internal and external communications requirements for the Hospice, focused on raising awareness of the Hospice’s services, its fundraising and trading activities whilst maintaining, and enhancing, the Hospice’s reputation, locally and nationally.
Applicants will need to demonstrate first class written and verbal communication skills and be responsible for copywriting, developing engaging content for all media channels, including digital and social media, and utilising appropriate promotional opportunities to boost engagement.
The Communications Officer, as an ambassador for the Hospice, will be expected to provide some out of hours support and attend weekend Hospice events as required.
