Donations in lieu of flowers

Many people prefer to ask friends and relatives to make a donation to support the work here at The Hospice of St Francis, in lieu of flowers at a funeral service. Funeral Directors are usually happy to organise collecting the contributions and take responsibility for forwarding them to us.

If this is something you have considered, we can provide you with a collection box or special donation envelopes. If the envelopes are filled in fully by the donor, it will allow us to claim Gift Aid on the donation, thereby increasing the value of their gift by 25% (if the donor is a tax payer). You may also like to distribute these to family and friends who cannot make the service. The envelopes can be collected in or forwarded via the pre-printed Freepost address to the Hospice at any time.
