A weekend of musical concerts has given the Hospice of St Francis a massive boost this week.

Four concerts were organised during the weekend and each proved a massive hit.
The Chiltern Ladies Choir, pictured above and below, gave a performance to remember at St Barnabas' Church on Saturday evening with the audience enjoying a traditional Cockney knees-up.
Taking part was Alison Briant from the hospice, who said: "We had a fantastic time. We were just buzzing afterwards.

It was really, really good fun.
"I was a bit embarrassed about dressing up as a Cockney, but we just had a great time and it was a brilliant evening."
A Voices for St Francis evening on Saturday at St John's Church in Boxmoor was a sell-out and organisers estimated it raised more than £3,000.
Roger Sharp, fundraising manager at the hospice said: "It was a fantastic evening. Many thanks to all the performers and the audience for making this event a sell-out!"

Sunday evening saw the Mayor of Dacorum's annual charity concert, this year in aid of the hospice, with a large turnout at the Boxmoor Playhouse.
Elvira MacCrimmon, of the hospice, said: "Hernel Hempstead Theatre Company Singers and the Kernel Hempstead Band presented a pleasant evening of varied musical entertainment that raised not only flags at the end during Jerusalem, but also a considerable amount of money for the new hospice."

The Berkhamsted Collegiate School also hosted a concert by members of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Alison said she was pleased to see so much support in the community.
"More people should try and organise events because it will really help the hospice and it is great fun," she urged.
