Hospice staff on the move

The Hospice of St Francis ended a chapter in its history this week as the admin and fundraising staff began the move up to the new hospice building.
Boxes were packed and desks cleared as the staff looked forward to finally making the journey from the Kings Road offices to the new purpose built premises on Shootersway.

Roger Sharp, Community appeals manager at the hospice said the staff were excited to be moving out of Kings Road to the new building.
He said: "We are all looking forward to moving into a brand new building and eventually all being under the same roof as our clinical staff.
"While we're moving we ask for our sponsors to be patient if we don't acknowledge donations while we carry out the move."
"It's exciting to be moving, there's a lot of hard work and hassle but once we are in there it will be absolutely brilliant."
Work began on the new £6 mil¬lion purpose built hospice on the edge of Berkhamsted in June last year and by January 2007 it is hoped that all the clinical staff will also have moved up to the new site.

Roger added: "Once we are all in there it will be a tremendous boost for us and the result of a lot of hard work."
The new address for the hospice is Spring Garden Lane, off Shootersway, Northchurch, Berkhamsted, Herts HP4 3GW.
The Hospice will be offering tours of its new premises from next month.

People will have a chance to see where the money they have donated through the Dig Deep campaign has gone.

There will be three tours a day Monday to Friday from December 4 to 22 and additional tours on Saturday December 9 and December 16.
