SAY 'CHEESE': the launch of the Memories Competition at the Hospice: Left to right are Heather Angove, Sally Bonser, Julie Luxford of Kodak, Liz Richards, Gill Beard of Kodak and Penny Bird.

Photographic giant Kodak is giving lucky HeraldExpress readers the chance to win a digital camera, while helping the Hospice of St Francis.
Kodak has offered £1,000 worth of prizes as part of a fantastic 'Memories' photographic competition in aid of the hospice.

For a minimum £1 donation keen snappers from all over Dacorum and beyond can enter a photo on the theme of memories to be in with a chance of winning the fantastic Kodak digital cameras.
Jane Guinn, chairman and managing director of Kodak, said: "The Hospice of St Francis provides a vital service that touches the lives of many families in the local community.
"Kodak is delighted to support their efforts to raise funds to complete the new hospice building."

The competition is divided into two age groups with a first prize of a Kodak EasyShare C330 Zoom digital camera, worth £180, for the under 16 winner, plus 20 single use cameras as runners up prizes.
A Kodak EasyShare V550 Zoom Digital camera, worth £250, will be presented to the adult winner, plus two runners up prizes of C330 digital cameras.

Entries can be of people, places, and occasions; anything that can be linked with the theme of memories and entrants can enter as many photos as they want for a minimum donation of £1 per entry. Penny Bird, trust and corporate development manager at the hospice, said: "We're really grateful to Kodak for putting up the prizes and helping bring in money by putting on this competition.
"If there's ever a time to think about memories and what's important it's when you are seriously ill and photos really can help. We often ask out patients to bring in photos because a picture really does tell a thousand stories." The campaign has brought in £297,732 since it was launched in October last year but is still short of the £2.5 million required to build the new purpose built hospice.
Jane Guinn added: "The Memories Competition offers a different way for people to engage with the fundraising process and help push towards the target."

All entries must be submitted with an official entry form available from Hospice of St Francis Shops, the Hospice office at 20 Kings Road, Berkhamsted and The HeraldExpress offices at 39 Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead and returned to the hospice office by the closing date of September 30.
Penny Bird stressed: "Please don't stop buying bricks though. If everyone bought just one brick then we'd reach our target for this campaign."
