Done the ride - got the T-shirt

Toby Russell-Winter (front) and friends ride to Brighton for the Hospice, 06-1041-4.

Hospice patient Toby Russell-Winter joined up with a team of well-wishers for a bike ride from Berkhamsted to Brighton for The Hospice of St Francis.
The group went on Saturday, July 22 and took around three hours to make the distance, with a couple of stops on the way, fortunately only having about half an hour's rainstorm to contend with en route.
They expect to have raised about £500 in sponsorship.
Tony, of St Albans, is in his mid thirties and has been a patient of the Hospice for about six years, living at home and going in for treatment.
For the trip, he was joined by hospice volunteer Jan Davies - the ride was her idea - and her husband Paul, Steve and Sue Brabner, all of Amersham, and Steve and Jen Smith of Great Missenden.
Jan said they would like to repeat the event next year, but on a bigger scale and anyone interested either in sponsoring or taking part can contact her on jan.davies@stfrancis.org.uk.
The original plan was to bike to Paris, but Toby has not been too well in recent months and therefore Brighton was chosen as the destination.
Toby is an artist and hand-stencilled some customised tee shirts for the trip advertising the venture as the Ft Francis BKSTD 2 Brighton Ride Out with a wonderful stencil of a Harley emblazoned on the front.
