At St Francis we try to offer a comprehensive care package including care for those that need 24 hour support in our inpatient unit to continuing support via our home care teams and day care.

We also value Complementary Therapies as a very important part of our  comprehensive treatment plan for patients.
We have a part-time Complementary Therapy Co-ordinator, Freda Magee, who is herself a nurse and a reflexologist. Freda is also Vice Chair of the National Association of Complementary Practitioners in Hospice and Palliative Care. Our practitioners have to be fully accredited in a particular therapy and then undergo an induction course at the Hospice.
Therapists work in the Inpatient Unit, in Day Care and some therapists are  also qualified to visit patients at home for a limited number of sessions.

In our new Hospice there is an out patient area devoted to providing Complementary treatments which we know our patients value so much.
