number twenty, our award-winning design-led gift shop in Lower Kings Road, Berkhamsted, is now in its tenth year of business and in a decade, has built a solid reputation for trend-leading giftware and home interiors.
Its buying team scours the country’s trade and graduate shows, sourcing cutting-edge products and design talent from around the world - from Scandi cool to English Heritage – often championing emerging designers and local suppliers.
The shop is currently packed with new products for spring and summer. On trend now are natural materials – items that connect us with the natural world, with the growing design focus on products made from wool, stone and ceramics – not always perfect but always individual.
Woven materials, white on white and lots of bold pattern are key trends, and all of these can be seen in the products on sale at number twenty - alongside the contemporary faux ower range by Abigail Ahearn, which has own out of the door together with our whacky pink amingos!
The number twenty team, led by Jacqueline Cunningham and Natalie Parkins, is always planning ahead, with the bulk of the Christmas buying for this year completed as early as February, when the baubles and tinsel had scarcely been packed away!
They will be visiting other key trade shows in May and September to buy for autumn and are always on the lookout for the Christmas ‘show stopper’ to go in the eagerly awaited number twenty Christmas window display.
If you’re looking for gift or home inspiration, why not pay them a visit? number twenty is now open seven days a week: Mon – Sat 9.30-5pm, and 11-4pm Sun.
