The newsletter of The Hospice of St Francis
Hey Presto!
150 members and growing!
Over 100 local businesses attended our Corporate Partner Network (CPN) party in November, enjoying a magical evening, courtesy of magician, Martin Gladdish, a Hospice Corporate Partner.
Other Partners, businesses who’ve chosen us as their Charity of the Year, companies who’ve sponsored or taken part in our fundraising events or who’ve provided us
with vital products or services, savoured canapés, mulled wine and chocolate tru es before hearing inspiring testimonials from Karen and Lindy, who are both being supported by our Supportive Care Team.
“The Hospice seems to be such an outstanding gathering together of everything good that’s been learned over the years about palliative care and bereavement,” said Roger Rawlinson, from Elite Coaching.
Andrianne Philippou, from The Berkeley Gallery added, “I left feeling inspired and grateful after hearing Karen and Lindy’s heart-warming testimonials. What a wonderful, valuable contribution the Hospice o ers to our community.”
The Corporate Fundraising team is looking for sponsors for the Hospice’s 2017 events. If any local businesses would like to promote their company and join the fastest growing business network in Hertfordshire and the Chilterns, please get in touch with
Carolyn.addison@stfrancis.org.uk or Amanda.stalham@stfrancis.org.uk
Make a Will
peace of mind and could mean that family members may even bene t from savings on inheritance tax in the future.
Make A Will Month provides the ideal opportunity to write a new Will or amend your wishes, whilst enabling the Hospice to bene t from any donation you make to support our care.
There is no obligation to leave a gift to the Hospice in your Will, but if you do decide to leave a legacy gift, it will help us fund future care for local people facing life-limiting illness.
If you have any questions about making a Will or if you’d like to discuss in con dence how to leave
a gift in your Will to The Hospice of
St Francis, please contact Michele Poli on 01442 869555 or email the team at legacy@stfrancis.org.uk

your loved ones
This March sees the return of our annual Make A Will Month, where solicitors supporting the Hospice will be o ering to make your Will and waive their fee in lieu of an equivalent donation towards our care.
Last year, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised over £16,000 and were delighted that the scheme attracted many new participants. This year, 12 local solicitors will be taking part, so making an appointment should be even easier!
Making your Will and keeping it updated is key to ensuring that you avoid family disputes and pass on your estate
