Tracing The Rainbow

Tracing the Rainbow, a book of poetry in aid of the Hospice.

Anne Adams a volunteer at the Hospice wanted to do something to help raise money for the Capital Appeal. She began writing poetry at school and has latterly taken it up again, building up quite a collection.
“Tracing the Rainbow”, has a pastoral theme and the poems are simple “word paintings.” The title is derived from a verse of a hymn, in which the writer says that, when pain comes to us, joy is still there waiting in the background, waiting to be discovered – we only need to “trace the rainbow through the rain.”

From the ‘A Celebration of the Seasons' section, a verse from "April":

"The Easter lambs are gambolling on the hill
And ancient maids are bright with Easter flowers:
The fresh perfume pervades where all is still
And nothing heeds the passing of the hours
"

The book is available from the Hospice and on sale in the Hospice shops, price £5.00. All proceeds to the Hospice. Buy one and help the Hospice Capital Appeal
