Lottery

Lottery LogoThe very special type of care that is "Hospice" aims to encompass all the needs of our patients and their families. This means giving time as well as providing specialist nursing care and medical equipment. But the financial cost is high and to ensure that this care will still be available in the future, we are constantly trying to find ways of increasing our regular income through fundraising events and the development of our shops.

As part of that long-term plan we have joined The Hospice Lottery, a very successful fundraising partnership which now involves the Iain Rennie Hospice At Home, the South Bucks Day Hospice at High Wycome, the Friends of Florence Nightingale House at Aylesbury, the friends of Michael Sobel Hospice at Northwood and Thames Hospice care in Windsor.

All profits are shared equally between the hospice partners and, by joining this exciting venture, The Hospice of St Francis can expect to receive an extra £70,000 next year, and we expect this sum to increase in future years.

It will cost as little as £1 a week (or the equivalent of £4.34 per calendar month by standing order) and the more people who join the more successful the scheme will be, so your membership will make a real difference.  Each Friday there will be a first prize of £1,000 plus other smaller cash prizes. If you join you will stand a much greater chance of winning than through the National Lottery and the charitable part of your contribution will be going to local services that you know well and which may benefit someone you know in the future.
