Become a Friend

The Friends are a network of supporters of the Hospice living within the catchment area and beyond. One of the aims of the Friends is to further the work of the Hospice by helping to raise funds to cover running costs and there are three fundraising groups which you can join. Friends can also assist in practical ways by publicising the valuable work taking place every day at the Hospice of St Francis. Friends are also ambassadors, forming links between the Hospice and their local communities, groups, businesses and all those who have the interests of the Hospice at heart. In other words, by becoming a member you will be directly associated with the support network which is so vital to the efficient running of the Hospice. New members will be given a lapel badge, car sticker, a home collection box and will receive regular newsletters which will keep them in touch with current news and developments at the Hospice.

Simply click [here] and print off the application form. Complete, then send it to the Friends Membership Secretary (Kathleen Matthews) at the address given on the form. If possible, it would help if you could pay your subscription by standing order as this reduces administration costs as well as making it easier for you.

Individual membership is £12 per year, Family membership is £20 per year and Life membership £75. If you are a tax payer we would be grateful if you would kindly consider completing the Gift Aid declaration which means we will be able to reclaim the tax from your subscription (currently 28 pence for each £1) at no extra cost to you.
