Remember Toby Russell-Winter
"Thanks for visiting my firewalk fundraising page in memory of the very special Toby Russell Winter and to raise funds for his hospice (St Francis). Firstly thankyou to everyone who sponsored my skydive and I would really appreciate if you could support me again, and to those of you who promised to sponsor me last time but never quite got round to it this is your chance to redeem yourself, haha! My aim is to do something for Toby each year (skydive was meant to be 2007 but got delayed til early this year) I like to think he is smiling down at my foolhardy escapades."

Remember Bernard John Gillespie
"The Hospice of St Francis is an entirely self financed Hospice and yet the service, the surroundings the staff, and all the voluntary workers are all truly angels in their own right. My father suffered two types of cancer over the last 27 years, lymphoma and finally, non small cell lung cancer. These people gave their time and allowed my father to pass away with such dignity and spiritual (not religious) comfort that meeting them was, in its self, a very humbling experience.
Cancer knows no boundaries, makes no exceptions for creed, or age, and these people do the same!
The staff and helpers assist so many to face the challenges that a terminal illness brings with it by always smiling, by always caring and by always just being there, you cannot fail to be moved."

Remember Christine Harvie
"I'm doing a sponsored walk of 5 miles in Rothamsted Park Harpenden on 2nd August in memory of my friend Christine who died of bone cancer last August. She had only just become a grandmother twice over in July when she was diagnosed and had to tell her two daughters that she had not long to live. She was 62 and spent the last few week's of her life in St Francis Hospice.
