Creative Therapy is an established effective treatment within the field of Palliative Care.
Although there is a focus on the therapeutic use of art materials and the creative process, it is not about a person’s artistic ability. You absolutely do not need to be artistic to receive art therapy.Music, art and crafts simply act as tools to work therapeutically.
This kind of therapy is found to improve people’s quality of life and can be particularly helpful for those coping with illness or the loss of a loved one. Feelings of loss, anxiety, confusion, anger, guilt or perhaps a feeling of loss of self can be explored through using creative materials.
Creative therapy is used with all ages, races and ethnicities. Individual, couple and group sessions are offered in our programme of events.
