Can I apply online?

You can apply by downloading an application form from our website, and either complete it by hand and post it to us, or you can complete it electronically and send it to us by email. Please be aware that if you apply by email, and are shortlisted for an interview you will be required to sign the application form at the interview to verify all details are accurate and truthful.

I cannot download the information from your website?

Please contact us and we can either email information or post an application pack to you.

Has my application been successful?

The recruitment process can often take a number of weeks to complete after the closing date. All applicants will be contacted by letter to advise the outcome of their application.

Why have I not received a letter from you about my application?

Either the recruitment process has not yet been completed, or we haven’t received your application. Please ensure that you pay the correct postage when sending your application form as we are unable to accept applications that are held by Royal Mail with outstanding postage to be paid.

Can I get feedback if my application is unsuccessful?

Yes. We do not routinely provide feedback but will be happy to provide feedback following interview if you call us.

Can you advise me whether I have the right skills and experience for a particular job vacancy?

We encourage potential applicants to make a decision themselves as to whether they are suitable by referring to the person specification for the job. We encourage them to think about transferrable skills and experience as well as directly related experience.

Will I be treated differently if I apply for a job and am currently volunteering for the Hospice?

We consider all applicants against the criteria set down in the person specification and shortlist those that best meet this criteria. If you are volunteering with us it may help you gain relevant experience and skills that are highlighted on the person specification.

Can I reapply for another vacancy if I have been unsuccessful in a previous application?

Yes – please feel free to apply again for a post with the Hospice unless otherwise advised.
